The Idiot Box...

Warning: Men better not read it!!! :-)

Disclaimer: If u still continue..... dont say i didnt warn you!! Whatever is said here in this post is my personal experience and opinion. There maybe "some exceptions to the rule" but iam not considering them.Yet. ;-)

I typed in the word "Idiot box" on wikipedia.. and lo!! It redirected me to the word "television"explaining its meaning,history,technology,specifications,geographical usage,social aspects blah..blah... Television should be called "idiot-making box"!!!

Heres why.....

What do men do when they get home??!! No prizes for guessing correctly!!! You are right!! The minute they take off their shoes and get comfortable, their hand creeps up to the remote control... without even you knowing it! After switching on the Idiot box do they stop?? Nah!!! They keep switching channels!!( They give the formula 1 cars a run for their money!!!) After finally settling down to watching one channel, do they watch it without changing the channel?? Again nah!!! As soon as the commercial pops up, u can hear the revv of the remote control!!!!!

What happens when you try to say something when they are watching TV? Even if the matter at hand is urgent, it goes in through one ear and out the other one. You have to repeat yourself twice (sometimes more) to get their attention. And whats the excuse they give you?? "I am just back from work! Let me relax"!!!! The only time women get to spend some time with their menfolk is that short period between men coming home and having dinner. That time is being usurped by the television!! So, when do we really talk?!! It all ends up in frustration!! Thats what it does.

I have not written this just because of my personal experience. I brought up this issue wih some friends and relatives of mine. All the wives complained of the same!!! If they think women will put up with this.... men are really from Mars!!!

U.F.O- A fact or myth?

After a ten day hibernation, am back on the blogsosphere!! I have always had a fascination for the "supernatural". The supernatural (Latin: super- "exceeding" + nature) refers to forces and phenomena which are beyond the current scientific understanding and concept of nature, and which may actually directly contradict conventional scientific understandings. Concepts in the supernatural domain are closely related to concepts in religious spirituality and metaphysics.
I associate supernatural or paranormal with U.F.O's and alien beings.. iam sure most of you do.

UFO sightings are being reported all over the world. Most sightings were reported here in US on Highway 57(maybe the 70's). I had a look at the Natural UFO Reporting Center and i was quite surprised to see the number of cases being reported. Of course, people tend to put the name UFO to anything they are not able to recognize!! The photo gallery is quite interesting... Some are outright fakes and some... u just cant say whehter they are fakes... They seem quite real.

My brother Ajay sent me this link(Thanks ajju)... Its called the Disclosure Project. This is a 2 hour wmv file. If u have the patience, its well worth it to watch it. To give a brief intro about this "Disclosure Project".. They have proved the existence of UFO and extra terrestial beings with about 400 witnesses. True witnesses. People who have been involved with the Government secret project, the CIA, Army, Navy and the various projects regarding the UFO. About 80 billion is being spent each year (in secret) for the study of Extra terrestials... The thing which grabbed my attention is,"Extra terrestials disarming our ballistic missiles"!!!! Scary ain't it??! Anyway, i would suggest seeing this video. Well worth it.......
