Retired, home alone..and hopefully, a regular blogger!

Yes yes... I quit my job and am now a housewife. I was looking for an opportunity to quit without burning bridges when one presented itself. My job profile was being moved to Austin and being given the option of moving or quitting, i gladly took the latter. Life is hectic when both of us were working. We hardly had time together, and the time together was spent discussing what was happening at work, grumbling, ranting, raving and in the end fighting. Life is a lot more peaceful (does not mean we don't fight!) now that am at home to take care of things and my hubby is left alone to do the thing he does best..earn a living!

The first few weeks of quitting was gr8. I had my parents with me and I enjoyed taking them around. Soon after they left, my time was occupied with me brooding over their departure and also thinking of the Kanakabishekam (90th birthday) of my paternal granddad. What fun it is to have a function at home!! The next few weeks, I was busy convincing my hubby to go to India, booking my tickets to go India and getting excited. The weeks after were spent shopping... one item at a time so that I could go out and enjoy! Needless to say, the subsequent few weeks (December) were spent party-hopping and packing. By the time we were to leave, i was again very excited. Couldnt sleep in the plane and was severely jet-lagged. The trip was only for 2.5 weeks, so I had decided to make the best use of those 2 weeks by eating at all my favourite haunts. It was one whirlwind trip and H and I were jet-lagged for 12 ofr the 15 days we spent in India.

Coming back, we again had jet-lag for 12 days. After coming out of it and after settling down, i am beginning to get a li'l bored! 2 days a week H comes home at 10.15 p.m!! Those days are especially hard. I try to keep some essential shopping for those days. Apart from that, i am pretty much stuck at home and home alone. Of course, TV and my laptop keep me company.

Since I have so much time on hand, I decided to give blogging another try. Hopefully, I can blog regularly!!
